Who are we
We are an independent foodbank operating as part of the outreach of the church. We believe that every person matters to God and that He loves and cares about each one of us.
Catshill Baptist Foodbank was formally known as Catshill and Marlbrook Foodbank. The change of name is to ensure that we are known to be serving Catshill and surrounding areas and not exclusively Catshill and Marlbrook.
We operate the foodbank as an expression of our Christian faith and are pleased to work with those of other faiths or none from our local community and will show no discrimination to those receiving our service.
Our food is donated by local people and organisations wanting to give a helping hand in times of need. We receive the food in good faith and only distribute if ‘in date’ and in suitable condition. It is always given as a gift and is not for resale.
All food distribution is done through the issue of foodbank vouchers and we work with a number of partner agencies who can issue vouchers, on our behalf, to their clients who are in need due to crisis or hardship. The voucher will be exchanged for a three day supply of nutritionally balanced food. We will also endeavour to signpost to other relevant services as and when we can.
Wednesday: 10.00am – 12:00pm
There are a number of ways to get involved but principally by
- donating food
- making a financial contribution
- volunteering to help at our foodbank sessions or behind the scenes
Please get in touch if you would like to know more. This is a vital service and we can’t do it without the generosity of our supporters whether by donation or giving of their time.

If you wish to make a financial contribution there are a number of ways you can do this – either as a one-off gift or regular standing order. We can arrange for further details to be sent to you or alternatively give online by clicking on the ‘donate now’ button. If you are a UK tax payer please also consider Gift Aid, full details can be obtained by either contacting the Foodbank directly or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Please bring any food donations to the foodbank during our opening hours.
We work in partnership with a number of organisations who make a significant contribution to the work we can do, either by referring clients in need or by donating food. If you are a community organisation or a local business that shares our belief that no-one should go hungry in our local area and would like to work with us please get in touch – we would love to hear from you.
