Catshill Baptist Church Foodbank is open every Wednesday in the church from 10am to 12noon. Outside of these hours, the Foodbank can be contacted on 07542 102649.
Who are we
At Catshill Baptist Church, we run an independent Foodbank dedicated to helping people in times of crisis or hardship. We work in partnership with other local churches, community volunteers and organisations. We believe that every person matters to God and that He loves and cares about each one of us. We operate the Foodbank as an expression of our Christian faith, but are happy to work with those of other faiths or none, and will show no discrimination to those receiving our service.
Our food is donated by local people wanting to give a helping hand in times of need. We receive the food in good faith and only distribute it ‘in date’ and in suitable condition. It is always given as a gift and is not for resale.
In Need of Foodbank Support?
Don’t hesitate to contact us. If you have a professional support worker, get in touch with them first, or call in the Foodbank on Wednesday mornings between 10am and 12noon, or call 07542 102649 outside of these times.
We rely on donations from individuals, community organisations and local companies. Local companies and organisations participate in our Community Connections, but we always need more donations! Financial donations enable us to ‘plug the gaps’ on our shelves and prevent us from reducing the parcels that we can distribute to those in need. You can leave donations at the church itself, or at the following locations:
- Catshill First school;
- Chadsgrove School;
- Catshill Village Surgery;
- BHI Parkside;
- Tardebigge School;
- Holywell First School Rubery;
- Blackwell Adventure Centre;
- Coop Charford.
We depend on local organisations to refer clients to us. If you are able to do this and want to hold vouchers to distribute, please get in touch with us.
